    1. Thanks for your question, Eric. Not to push you off, but I might suggest you first try reading one of my posts (http://insulinpumpfun.blogspot.ca/2012/02/does-insulin-pump-hurt-at-all.html) and see if that helps you at all. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
      Thanks!

  2. hi, I'm a Design research student at UNSW Sydney Australia and I have found your blog very useful and informational. I like that you have put the idea of ' fun' with insulin pumping activity.

I am working on an assignment that requires me to design an intervention for the insulin pens (injection).I am adding some more fun and functions to the outer visual look. I am focusing on the teenagers ,who may find it like an ordeal to use the common insulin pen. I want to design something that is good to look at and teens find themselves encourage to use and later share their experience.

I would be happy if you can help me in identifying certain problems that teens feel while using the pen injections and (as a designer) what features can I add?

I'll be extremely happy to get your response

    Cheers,

    1. I know this was posted awhile ago, but one thought with permanent insulin pens (Aka: Luxura pen by Humalog/Lilly...not disposable) is to put a little metal loop on the top of the pen or make a cut out on the top to put a small loop. It would work like a cell phone or camera attachment spot, where little trinkets could be looped through and dangle off. (A lot of teenagers add the trinkets to the ear phone ports on cellphones; small cameras often have this feature built in to aid with a rope to hang off a wrist).
